General FAQs
We support calendars that use Google, Office365, Outlook, Hotmail, and Live accounts.
We keep all calendar event data private. When an organizer views your availability they are shown a free/busy schedule of all the calendars you’ve connected. Unless you are the owner or guest on an event that was created through OrcaCal, no event data is shown to others.
If you’d like invite contacts, view shared availability, and create meetings you’ll need a paid account. The contacts you invite can create free accounts to share their availability with the option to upgrade to a paid account if they ever need the organizer features.
We will not change anything about your connected calendars. Events will be added your calendar when an organizer creates a meeting through OrcaCal.
Yes! You have full control over the calendars and contacts you are sharing with. Individual calendars and their events can be removed from your account and you can stop sharing your availability with your contacts at any time.
No. OrcaCal stores the minimum amount of data required to make its feature's work. This includes the start date and time and the end date & time. If an event is created through OrcaCal, more data is stored including event name, description, meeting link, and guest list.
Organizer FAQs
Organizers are paid users that can invite contacts, view shared availability, and book meetings. Organizers can also invite team members to their workspace where they’ll be given a paid seat and access to Organizer features.
Scheduling links from companies like Calendly, SavvyCal, or Cal.com are not designed to work with long-term relationships. OrcaCal focuses on group scheduling by giving organizers the ability to invite a contact once, then view their availability and book meetings with them until their connection is stopped.
Yes, someone who wants to share their availability must sign up for an OracCal account. However, the account will be free unless they choose to upgrade to a paid plan.
Yes, OrcaCal is designed to be used by teams and groups of people. However, you can still book one-on-one or solo meetings in OrcaCal.
No they don’t. Contacts you invite can share their availability with you by creating a free account. You can invite a contact and request availability with your share link or an invitation email.
A workspace seat is a paid account that has access to all the Organizer features. A contact is someone who has either shared their schedule with you or can view your schedule.
Attendee FAQs
Attendees are users that have a free account. Attendees can’t book meetings, invite contacts, or manage a team. Their free account allows them to connect calendars and see events that have booked with them through OrcaCal.
Yes, you do. We require that you create a free account so you have control over who you share your availability with. You can stop sharing with any of your contacts at any point.
No you don’t. While accepting an sharing invite we ask that you create a free account. You can upgrade to a paid account if you need Organizer features.
When an organizer views your availability they are shown a free/busy schedule of the calendars you’ve connected. Unless you are a guest of an event that was created through OrcaCal, no event data is displayed within OrcaCal.
No you don’t. Connecting a calendar adds that calendar to your availability for all contacts you are sharing with. All you need to do is accept each organizer's sharing invite and they'll be able to view your availability!
